Daqoos or Daqqus is a Kuwaiti tomato garlic sauce recipe which is mixed with olive oil, tomatoes, tomato paste, garlics, and water.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 Tablespoons of Tomato Paste
  • 2 large Tomatoes
  • 4 cloves of Garlics
  • 3 tablespoon of olive oil
  • ½ cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of Brown Sugar
  • Salt and Black Pepper for Taste

Instructions
 

  • Add tomatoes and water in a blender to make it into a puree. Keep Aside.
  • Add olive oil in the pan and wait till it become hot
  • Add garlic in the pan. Give a stir till the garlic turns into light brown
  • Pour the tomato puree into the pan. Stir to combine.
  • Add tomato paste, salt, black pepper and sugar. Stir to combine till the sauce thickened.

Notes

  • You can use vegetable oil instead of olive oil if you like.
  • You can add cilantro leaves or coriander powder if you like to add more flavor in daqqus.
