Cheese Dynamite Lumpia (Chili Cheese Stick)

This Cheese Dynamite is a Filipino Green Chili recipe that is stuffed with mozzarella or cheddar cheese, and deep fried in vegetable oil.

Ingredients
  

  • 15 Pieces Green Chili Pepper
  • 15 Pieces Lumpia Wrapper
  • 1 Block Eden Cheddar or Mozzarella Cheese,
  • ½ Cup Cooking Vegetable Oil

Instructions
 

Removing the Seeds

  • Slice the green chilies lengthwise from the stem down to the tip.
  • Use a small spoon to scrape the seeds from the chilies

Stuffing it with Cheese

  • Cut the cheese into a 1-inch width lengthwise
  • Stuffed it with either mozzarella or cheddar cheese

Assembling into a Lumpia

  • Pace the lumpia wrapper in a diamond position. Fold the left end of the wrapper to the center
  • Place the stuffed lumpia into the center of the wrapper in a horizontal position. Make sure the stem remains outside of the wrapper.
  • Roll the wrapper and secured it tightly with water.

Frying the Lumpiang Dynamite

  • Pour vegetable oil into the pan. Once it becomes hot, place the lumpia dynamite into the pan.
  • Let it fry in both sides till it turns golden brown
  • Once done, transfer into the plate with paper towel to help absorb the excess oil
  • Serve with mayo ketchup sauce

Notes

  • You can use other kinds of green chilies like Jalapeno, Anaheim pepper or Serano chilies.
  • If you don't have mozzarella or cheddar cheese, you can use Burrata, Provolone or Gouda Cheese
