Galayet Bandora is a Jordanian breakfast fried tomato dish which is mix with onion, olive oil, beef, spices and potatoes.

Ingredients
  

  • 300 gram of thinly sliced beef
  • 1 large potato
  • 2 large onion
  • ½ cup of olive oil
  • 2 cup canned tomatoes
  • ½ teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of allspice
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Salt and Black Pepper for Taste

Instructions
 

  • Add olive oil in the pan or skillet.
  • Once it is hot, add onion and stir for few minutes or till it is cook.
  • Add the sliced beef in the pan. Let it sauteed for 5 minutes.
  • Pour the canned crushed tomatoes and add cinnamon, cumin, and allspice. Stir to mix
  • Later, add chopped potatoes and give it a quick stir.
  • Cover with the lid and let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes or till the sauce becomes thick.
  • Add Salt and Black pepper for taste.
  • Turn off the heat and serve with rice or pita bread / flatbread

Notes

  • If you don't have canned crush tomatoes, you can use fresh tomatoes or tomato sauce.
  • Adding potatoes is not common for this recipe, but it makes the dish more delicious.
